A lot of Mormons think that good people will obviously recognize the truthfulness of the church and quickly join. Don't approach him with a demandsuch as "I need you to put more time into our relationship". I am literally too lazy to get up and get the computer. It also seems like he's into it based on how he acts around me and the things he says. But I'm glad for all the advice I read on this blog. There may be underlying personality similarities, but if the answer to "what shall I do next" is always trumped by a Morman frame of reference for one partner, but not the other, conflict is inevitable. Pickings are slim at church. I feel very discouraged. However, "medical families" can work.
I wish I had not ignored the signs whiles we dated but now I am out of energy. She is showing a common attitude of distrust for "anti-mormon" material. The misogyny is deep in the Mormon church. No one should feel excluded from the House of the Lord. Her experience may or may not be typical, but it is something to consider. And there's a story I'm going to look again for too. I was recently married to my husband in the Twin Falls, Idaho temple for time and all eternity. Even after being in a relationship I have to take all the decision alone. There are other issues at play here that are my husband's personal history and that he is now trying to come to grips with, and I have hope that we can put our marriage and our family back together-but the job marches on, relentlessly, and there is no time allotted for personal healing.
